I happened to be shopping for a wedding and i took my daughter to Claire's Boutique in the Hamilton Mall. We were not greeted upon entering not to mention when we got to the back of the store one of the associates decided to bring merchandise to the back to start stocking in the back just so that she could keep a close eye on us.

We felt very uncomfortable as we were not the only customers in the store. Once we were ready to make a purchase the total came to a little over $20.00. I was pulled out a $100.00 bill and the associate said I am not sure if I have change for that....it was 6pm in the evening and it sounded odd but once she asked the manager Kim she told her that they were not taking $100 bills at all because she was coming across too many counterfits. I was highly offended for her to assume that my money may be a counterfit so i mentioned to her to invest in a marker and she said that they don't work.

I immediately left the store and went to the Icing. One of the associates was very helpful and we spent more with them because of the service that was provided. When something could not be located the associate suggested Claire's downstairs in the Hamilton Mall and I shared my experience with Kim. There were no signs at the register starting that they don't take bills over $100.00.

The other associate in the Icing location did not understand why she didn't except my money and said that it sounded strange.

I gave her the same bill she used her marker and my purchase was completed. I would not recommend that location to anyone as long as Kim is the store manger.
