Don't buy from Claires

This is the 4th time that I have bought from Claires online and they take my money and later cancel part of the order. I buy a certain quantity of an item because I want that quantity and not less! I bought these items for my daughters birthday party and now I have less than I need. And they don't even tell you what they canceled. YOU have to call THEM! I now have to spend my time and my money returning the ones that they shipped to me because I can't use them because there is not enough. Customer service is rude and makes it seem like it is YOUR fault that they don't have a system to tell what they have available for sale. Poor system. Terrible customer service!

I order four different types of nose rings from Claire too online AND THEY ALL ARRIVED. One was misshapen and free floating within the package like as if it had been used.

The other one was rusty.

Disappointed but I've learned NEVER TO SHOP AT CLAIRES AGAIN. CHEAP PRODUCTS POOR QUALITY.

Claires - Ear Piercing Review from Newport, Newport

Got my baby girl ears pierced in Westfield Stratford Claire's and until we got home one of the earings got out. I couldn't go back again, so I went later on and the ear needed repiercing. We decided to change earings so we did. Lady finished with piercing and when I asked for old earings which I have paid 40pounds on the last occation she said she could not find them on the place she left them so probably they fell down on the floor. She will look for them and give me a call. Never heard feom them again.... poor service.

went in to purchase some earring backs for my earrings. there was no one at the register. we saw one worker go to the back and the other was doing an ear piercing. we mentioned that we needed help to the worker doing the ear piercing and she sent someone over who rudely greets us with "is that all?" rings us out and just walks away without saying anything like we were an inconvenience to her. terrible store.

Claires Buy 5 Get 2 Free Deal Review from High Springs, Florida

I went there yesterday and only needed to purchase 2 items! A barrette and hairclaw. The cashier told me about a "buy 3, get 2 free deal and that sounded great to me, but I didn't notice until I got to the counter that she said it was "buy 5, get 2 for free"? I was very confused and I was upset because I didn't need 5 items. I only needed 2. NOT WANTED. NEEDED. I needed a new hairclaw for very long hair to do around house cleaning. I wanted a blue barettee to match the only dress I wear especially since I had an interview coming up. That's all I needed again. The cashier followed me around. I was the ONLY PERSON in store besides her and I was looking at other things that she thought would look nice on me, but I insisted I didn't need it because couldn't afford it and finally I get to the counter with 2 items in hand and she says, "If you only buy these you can't get 2 free. You've got to buy 5 to get 3 free". I just grabbed a pretty looking black bow, and 2 headbands and I was aware of the $12.50 price sticker, but she said I'd get it free! Long story short, the store was closing and she (Traci) was her name grabbed the 5 items from me after I specifically asked could I put the $12.50 and $7.50 one back because I didn't want them nor did I need them and she rung them up anyway while I my fiance suggested she put them back as well! She did say I could return them when I returned because I said I would return. I told her I was on a budget. After we get home I take out my receipt and notice something that made me one of the angriest people on earth at that moment! The receipt stated that I had to pay a RETURN FEE IF I NEEDED TO RETURN SOMETHING AND PRICES WERE LISTED AS TO WHAT THE FEE WOULD BE! I WAS REALLY SAD AND MAD BECAUSE I FELT LIKE (TRACI THE CASHIER) SHOULD'VE TOLD ME!!! She didn't tell me about a return fee. I purchased 2 items that cost $5.50 which were the ones I actually needed! She talked me into purchasing the other 3. One barettee at $6.50, and 2 headwraps at $7.50 and $12.50! I did not need those 3 items! I knew the store was closing soon and she didn't let me try them on! One headwrap is too large for my head and falls right over my face and lands on my hair, but if I want to return it. Well that one was $7.50. It will cost a return fee of $5.30! Ridiculous! I can't even wear it so I wasted my money! Not hers! She earned my money by keeping that from me which is A BIG DEAL NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS! She should've said, "We add a return fee should you want to return it". Of course I wouldn't have bought them and that's why she didn't tell me! She knew that I wasn't going back right away and Claire's gained a false profit by not telling their customers! I hadn't been since 2011 so I had no idea! Back to story: I only needed 1 barettee and 1 hairclaw which cost $5.50 each. Those I needed, but if I wanted to return them. They'd cost a return fee of $3.89! Traci pressured me into buying 3 more and told me about the new ones and how they were so lovely. She even took me to the rack. I picked out 2 flower headwraps and a clip bow quickly because she kept saying we need to ring you up now. The clip bow cost $6.50 and would be $4.59 to return it! The cheaply made flower headband cost $7.50 and will be a return fee of $5.30! The $12.50 headwrap that she chose that I personally thought was an outrageous price will be $8.83 to return!

REMEMBER THE BUY 5, GET 2 FOR FREE?

SHE CHARGED ME FOR THE MORE EXPENSIVE ITEMS! THAT'S RIGHT! I GOT CHARGED $6.50, $7.50, and $12.50! I RECEIVED THE $5.50 ITEMS FOR FREE!?

I PERSONALLY THINK THEY SHOULD BE SPECIFIC AND IT'S NOT UP TO THEM TO JUST CHOOSE TO CHARGE YOU FOR THE MORE EXPENSIVE ITEMS, BUT THAT REALLY HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY ON MAY 28TH. 2016 at 9:16 P.M.

All because I needed a long-haired hairclaw to do some house cleaning and just when I go up the road and 1 barrette as needed for a job interview which I told her meaning I've no money for the others' so please respect my boundaries! NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP IN ANOTHER CLAIRE'S IN MY LIFE! The return price is not a fee. That is the amount Claire's will you give you for the returned items, to ensure that you pay only the amount you would have originally paid for the items you did not return. Dummy.

If you don't NEED it to survive, then it is a WANT. That means you WANTED, not NEEDED the items you went in for.

Oh, honey, please tell me you don't go anywhere without an escort. I don't even know where to start with this.

First of all, you didn't have to buy the three extra items. That was a promotion they were having, but you still could have bought just the two items you came in for. If the sales lady was pushy, you could have politely, but firmly refused and reminded her you just needed the two items. Since you decided to take advantage of this promotion, however, you could have picked less expensive items than you did.

There is no such thing as a return free. I believe the "fee" you are seeing is how much money you would actually get back if you return the items individually since they were purchased with the promotion. Here it is broken down, please try to keep up: your original purchase was for one barrette at $5.50, one clip at $5.50, one barrette at $6.50, one headwrap at $7.50 and one headwrap at $12.50. That would all come to $37.50, but with the promotion you only paid $26.50 (before taxes).

If you add up the amount that you mistook as a return fee, you will also get $26.50 because those amounts are what you technically paid for the items. Understand? As far as thinking you should have been able to choose which items you got for free, well, that is just ridiculous. Buy anything get anything free sales are ALWAYS pay for the more expensive item, get an equal or lesser item free.

Otherwise people would pay for dollar items and get one hundred dollar items for free. Businesses could never stay afloat doing that.

I work at claires and I know that isn't right lol. All claires except for a select few get the same exact promotion!

The "return fee" you're talking about isn't a fee. It's what you would get back if you returned only that item. So say you buy 6 things. You got 3 free.

You only paid for 3 items. Say you go back and you want to return one of the items that you didn't technically pay for. Well, of course you're going to get something back. To basically it takes your total and gets a percentage of everything you bought and comes up with a total for that item.

So you're not losing any money or gaining any. We're the only ones losing money!

Earing stuck

my mom took me to claires to get my earings done and the lady that did my ears was nice and i was a little scared to get them done but i wanted to get it over with i chosed purple studs and then the lady marked my ears where the earings would go and i told the lady to do them at the same time and then when she put the earing in it was so painful and then later on i was sitting down on my couch watching tv and then a picece of my hair got stuck on my ear on the front and then i had to pull it out and then the front part of the earing fell off and then i told my mom and then she took me to a tattoo shop to get them removed and then i went home never go to claires they are bad!!!!!!!!!!!

Earring problems

got my second hole done at Claire's and it was amazing for the first week but one day I saw that the earing had sunken in to my ear so my mom and I took it out cleaned it and put Neosporin on the earring and my ear but the next day the skin had grown over my ear and it was hard to get out and we realized that the earing was bent and broken on the jewel so I've now had to put my own diamond studs in my ears and throw away the other pair of earrings I'm very disappointed with the outcome I used to love going to Claires for jewelry but after this I don't think ill be going anytime soon

Claires Customer Care Review

Very dissatisfied. I placed an order, as soon as the confirmation came back I noticed a digit missing from the address. Immediately called back and was told the order was not in the system to call back in an hour. I called back and was told the order was processing and could not be changed. Horrible customer service. I will never recommend to anyone.

I had went to Claire's today when I got off work I purchase something that came up to almost $20 I only had $100 bill and she told me she could not break it she had no money to break it but if you're the manager shouldn't you have money put in a safe somewhere so you can break your customers bill for them and I told her I said well I'll just go somewhere else and by that then if she says okay thank you I am not happy that was very poor customer service and this was Claire's at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau Missouri

That is not their fault. I wish people would stop paying for $20 in merchandise with a $100 bill.

They only have so much in their drawer and cannot just run to the bank each time this happens...especially when they're constantly working by themselves. Geez people.

Claire's is terrible and they got me mad about something which made me pretty sure that I will not be shopping there again. There quality there for things is terrible I have returned 90% of my phone cases that I have bought from there because they broke or where terrible quality and where about to break or other things and it's not just the phone cases a lot of the things in there store are bad quality also the people who work there I do not like they make me feel uncomfortable because they do not trust me for some reason and are always watching me thinking I'm gonna like steal something probably but I would never. If u still like the style of claires or if it's there phone cases or whatever you can shop at icing which is where I will probably go instead of claires because it is owned by claires and it is really cute and the stuff there is way better quality and way cuter and the people there are way better.
